Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event
The City of Dunkirk will host a “Household Hazardous Waste” collection event on Saturday, June 3rd from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Lucas Avenue facility. The event is sponsored by Chautauqua County, NYSDEC, Storer’s Container Service and Chautauqua Co. Hazmat.
Materials accepted include used auto fluids, drain cleaners, glue, paint, aerosol cans, varnishes, turpentine, solvents, weed killers and pesticides. Items NOT accepted include batteries, electronics, prescription drugs, sharps, drywall compound, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and waste oil. Completed registration forms will be collected from residents on Saturday, June 3rd.
