ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed bids will be received in the City Clerk’s Office located at 342 Central Avenue, Dunkirk NY 14048 starting at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 13th, 2023, until 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 5th 2023, for the construction of two open pavilions on the site of the Dunkirk Farmer’s Market at the Dunkirk Senior Center, 45 Cliffstar Court (Corner of Ruggles & Wright Streets).  Bid opening will occur the same day at 2:00 PM where bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. Funding for the project is provided through a grant from NYS Dept. of Agriculture & Markets.

Beginning on Thursday April 6th, 2023, forms and specifications for the work may be obtained at the City of Dunkirk Planning & Development Office, 342 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, New York 14048. Documents will also be available online on the City’s Website RFP Page at https://www.cityofdunkirk.com/businesses/rfp_s/index.php and listed on NYS Contract Reporter at https://www.nyscr.ny.gov/.

Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.  No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. 

This contract is subject to the New York Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate determinations. Contractors will be required to adhere to NYS DOL prevailing wage schedules in paying wages to employees. The prevailing wage schedules in effect at the time of the contract execution shall control.
