Per the received original (re)quotes, it seems that recent changes in cost of materials for a project such as this have exceeded the bucket allotted from the assigned CDBG funding. The project will now focus only on the removal and install of (2) sets of concrete stairs at the gazebo entrances. Click Here for updated detailed specs.

Davis-Bacon regulations, along with NYS wage determination required and to be included in quote proposal. Project contract terms is 6 months. Quoted proposals and contracts will have HUD Form 4010 and HUD Form 5370 regulations apply.

All NYS counties are invited to quote. The City reserves the right to reject any or all quote proposals.

The City of Dunkirk’s Department of Planning and Development is soliciting quotes from qualified companies to replace 1 set of existing masonry steps and install a masonry handicap accessible ramp with masonry step access and steel railings on the Washington Park gazebo structure. The quote solicitation is for the CDBG Funded Washington Park Improvement Project located at Washington Park between Washington Ave. and Park Ave. along 5th Street, Dunkirk, NY 14048. Quote proposals shall be received by the Development Director, 342 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY 14048 through Friday March 10th, 2023 at 4:00 pm EST.

Quoted proposal pricing shall include the following: Removal and disposal of both masonry steps on the north and south of gazebo structure, removal and disposal of plantings between gazebo and sidewalk, saw cut exiting sidewalk in the location of new ramp, install new cast in place for new masonry steps, install new 4’-6” wide masonry landing and ramp from south side of gazebo around to the west side of gazebo: a total of 49 linear feet including frost protected foundation and gravel fill to connect grade level to platform rising 2’-4”, and install new steel tubing guardrails/hand rails 3’ high and 61 linear feet.
