Dunkirk Lakefront 5k will be held on Sunday July 1st. The course begins in the front of the Clarion Inn and runs west along Lake Shore Drive through Point Gratiot, east on Lake Shore Drive and ends in Memorial Park. The national certified course is flat and exceptional scene along the shores of Lake Erie. Pre-register by mail or in person at the recreation office. Race Day registration will be held from 8:30AM to 9:40AM at the Clarion Inn.

First Wards Falcons Fast Pitch Softball Tournament will be held on July 20,21,22 at the Promenschenkel softball stadium. Teams from across the North East and Canada will participate in the 31st annual softball event. This tournament has attracted some of the top fast pitch teams in the nation.

Monnies "Old Timers" Fast Pitch Softball Tournament will be held on July 15. Some of the finest softball players around will participate in this event. This tournament is always looking for more teams!

"Four on the Floor" Indoor Soccer Tournament- Held at our Recreation Center on March 1, 2, 3 for age groups- Middle School through High School. Teams from around the area will participate in this weekend long tournament. Divisions are set by grades.

Dunkirk Little League Invitational Baseball Tournament- held at our Wright Park Sports Complex. This 16 team tournament attracts some of the finest teams around. This tournament takes place on the last weekend in July and is geared towards the 11 and 12 year old age group.

Summer Better than Others Day Camp- This camp is for youngsters between the ages of 5 and 11 who live in the Dunkirk community. The camp offers a wide range of educational and recreational activities on the Beautiful Cassadaga Lake in the confines of Camp Gross. There are 5-one week sessions that run from 8am-3:30pm. Camp includes transportation to and from camp, lunch, afternoon snacks, and a well trained staff.
