Welcome to the great City of Dunkirk and thank you for visiting our website.
As the Mayor of Dunkirk, I am excited with the many initiatives, development projects and opportunities that have been completed and those that are continuing to progress. These initiatives have begun the process of reinvigorating and revitalizing our community. With a rich history, a tradition of hard work and determination by a culturally and ethnically diverse citizenry, Dunkirk is poised one again to become one of the truly unique and wonderful small cities of New York.
As with many communities in the Northeast, Dunkirk has weathered challenging economic times, yet we have remained determined to provide our children with a better more prosperous Dunkirk. In the last several years Dunkirk has been fortunate to attract tens of millions of dollars in community investment and development. These projects are just a start of the good fortunes to come, with new commitments from local businesses to expand and invest in our community the City of Dunkirk sits poised to capitalize on whatever economic opportunities are available in the future.
From the ongoing redevelopment of our waterfront area to our many cultural festivals and events as well as our wonderfully diverse neighborhoods; to our exceptional educational opportunities, Dunkirk is a city that will continue to grow, diversify and evolve.
As Mayor, I have sought to bring a level of professionalism and integrity to our City workforce that will cascade throughout the community. The entire City workforce strives to provide the services necessary to promote the growth of Dunkirk while constantly searching for ways to reduce costs and limit the tax burden on the residents of our community.
I would welcome any concerned citizens or visitors to contact my office or the office of any of my Department Heads with any concerns or suggestions to make the City of Dunkirk a better community.
