Celebrate the best of the beach at the Chadwick Bay Beach Bash. The city entertains visitors and residents on its multiple beaches with sand sculpture displays and contests, volleyball tournaments, car cruise in and multiple live entertainment acts.

Sand Sculpture Artist, Carl Jara creates "marquee" sand sculptures for viewing. Additionally, Mr. Jara offers "classes" to the public prior to the event for anyone interested in learning more about the art of sand sculpture. The classes are orientated toward the skill level of the audience with a children's level, adult level and pseudo-professional level among the offerings, mirroring the levels of the competition.

The sand sculpture contest incorporates several levels of participation: Corporate, Club/Adult, Family/Children's Group. Monetary awards will be given to the winning teams from each level.

If you have children to entertain the Chadwick Bay Beach Bash should be included in your vacation plans. The Horizon Boat Tour offers a kid's "Character Cruise." The cruise offered several times each day incorporates two childhood favorites, costumed characters and pizza! The kids will love dining aboard the Horizon while enjoying a boat cruise with their favorite furry friends, princesses and superheroes.

Dunkirk has a strong history with the ice cream industry. In celebration of this long relationship the tasty treat will be featured at the festival. There will be an ice cream eating contest and an ice cream sculpting contest for visitors to participate in or watch.
